Hazardous Material Shipping


Texas A&M University (TAMU) is committed to protecting the faculty, staff, students, and visitors, as well as the general public and the environment from harmful effects of exposure to hazardous materials and dangerous goods while in commerce. The University is also committed to comply with all applicable regulatory requirements imposed by the U.S Department of Transportation (DOT) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as penalties and fines for errors, even minor errors are severe. Shipments of hazardous materials may only be made by persons who have completed approved training and have been certified as HazMat shippers.
